Federal government promises to extend CERB coverage

The federal government is looking to extend the Canada Emergency Response Benefit (CERB) beyond 16 weeks, according to Prime Minister Trudeau in an announcement this morning.

Canadians who applied for the $2,000 per month benefit for the March 15 start date will reach the end of their eligibility period in early July.

The prime minister promised the federal government will put the extension in place before this date.

We’ll provide more details when the government announces more information later this week.

Visitors are spending more time on the site, looking at and sharing more listings, and are coming back to the site more often.
